Here is a fantastic meal suggestion from 9Round Nutrition Coach, Dr. Rick Kattouf, II: Beefy Cheesy Macaroni, which is well-balanced, tastes great and is high-octane fuel for your body. And, it's a meal the entire family can enjoy. This meal will fuel your body with the following:

435 cal
50% calories from carbohydrate
25% protein
25% fat

NOTE: It is recommend that females consume 2/3 of the serving above (290 calories) and males consume the entire serving (435 calories)

INGREDIENTS:

½ cup Mixed Vegetables
1 oz American Cheese
2 oz Beef, Ground, Extra Lean
¼ cup Whole Grain Elbow Macaroni

INSTRUCTIONS:

Steam vegetables; prepare ground beef in pan/skillet with non-stick spray. Prepare pasta. In a saucepan over low heat, add pasta and beef + cheese and stir until cheese is melted. Serve along side steamed vegetables and enjoy!
